10:30-11:30: Data Driven Curation

Making informed decisions in today’s libraries means knowing how to turn data into action. In this MCLC Tech Talk, Sara Roberts and Kalleen Marquise will explore how the LibraryIQ Platform brings all of a library’s data into one centralized, easy-to-understand system. Designed by librarians for librarians, LibraryIQ transforms complex data into clear, actionable insights that support smarter collection development, streamlined operations, and more confident decision-making across teams. Attendees will gain an overview of how data-driven curation can empower staff at all levels to better serve their communities through thoughtful, evidence-based choices.

Sara Roberts, MLIS, has worked in many libraries across the country and currently serves as the Product Manager for IQ. A fanatic for public libraries, Sara works to build a platform that enables libraries to succeed. 

Kalleen Marquise, MLIS, has 13 years of experience spanning public libraries and library software. She is dedicated to customer success through the onboarding process and beyond, helping libraries feel confident to use data to make informed, strategic decisions.

11:30-12: Gadget Show and Tell

In a non-presentation format, we will bring and showcase fun gadgets and gizmos for others to view. Heck, if you want to bring something that you thought was cool but turned out not to be, feel free to bring it too. You might save another library some money.
