This Tech Talk we discussed two emerging social media platforms and how two libraries in Maricopa County are taking advantage of them to reach teens during the pandemic. Erin Garred (Librarian) and Kearsten LaBrozzi (Teen Librarian) from Glendale Public Library discussed the challenges, rewards (and all-around fun) of launching and running one of Arizona’s first library TikTok channels. And Stacey Akahoshi (Librarian) from Chandler Public Library discussed the use of Discord to engage teens during the pandemic by (among other things) hosting Among Us tournaments!
