Its purpose is to share information, to promote innovative responses to common problems, and to develop cooperative activities among libraries in Maricopa County. The membership is open to public, academic, school, and special libraries. Our current membership consists primarily of public and academic libraries.

The Maricopa County Library Council (MCLC) is a nonprofit partnership uniting library systems across Maricopa County. We bring libraries together to exchange knowledge, spark creative solutions to shared challenges, and collaborate on projects that strengthen our communities.
